South West Packaging Acquires Lamina Taper to Enhance Corrugated E-Commerce Box Production

South West Packaging, located in Dorset, UK, has added a new taping machine from Lamina System AB to its production line. Equipped with two tape applicators and a feeder, the machine is designed primarily for use with corrugated e-commerce boxes. It offers flexible taping capabilities by allowing corrugated sheets to be taped either before die-cutting or afterward on tape flaps. The equipment supports several common double-sided tapes, including finger-lift and tissue/tear tapes, enhancing packaging durability and functionality. This installation is the third Lamina taper deployed in the UK within two months, reflecting growing demand for this technology. The sale was facilitated by Neil Thayer of Finishline Machinery, authorized sales agent for Lamina in the UK and Ireland.
