N R Agarwal Industries Reports Fire Incident at Unit-I Plant in Vapi

N R Agarwal Industries experienced a fire on September 19, 2025, at its Unit-I plant in Vapi, Gujarat. The fire started at 6:15 p.m. in an electrical transformer and spread to the Electrical PCC room, VFDs, ACBs, and various cables. Thanks to effective in-house firefighting systems and assistance from local fire tenders, the blaze was quickly contained. There were no casualties reported. The company holds an Industrial All Risk Insurance Policy and has already filed a claim. The financial loss is estimated around Rs. 4 crore, with a production loss of approximately 2,300 metric tonnes. Despite the incident, N R Agarwal Industries aims to resume plant operations within seven days. This event underscores the need for strong industrial safety protocols and insurance coverage to mitigate such risks.
