In anticipation of a favorable outcome, GreenFirst is preparing to resume operations at its Kapuskasing, Hearst, and Cochrane mills the week of October 6, safeguarding jobs and vital supply chain networks. CEO Joël Fournier praised the collaborative governmental approach, emphasizing its importance in sustaining employment and nurturing regional economic growth. GreenFirst also affirmed ongoing engagement with Kap Paper, municipal leaders, and government officials to ensure the successful modernization of the forestry supply chain.
