Bellmer Acquires Cellwood Machinery AB to Strengthen Global Leadership in Waste Paper Recycling

Bellmer GmbH, a leading international paper and board machinery supplier, announced the acquisition of Sweden-based Cellwood Machinery AB, a world-renowned specialist in wastepaper recycling and bioenergy pre-treatment systems. Cellwood has delivered over 700 custom dispersing system installations worldwide, improving energy efficiency and paper quality in recycling processes. Its product range includes Metrans conveying systems, Grubbens Pulper, and Algas Microfilter, known for sustainable resource use. The acquisition enhances Bellmer’s global footprint, with Cellwood’s subsidiaries in Germany, Canada, and China, and service teams in Vietnam and India. Expected to close by October 2025, the partnership aligns two family-owned firms with shared visions for innovation and sustainability. Cellwood’s Managing Director, Henrik Lefvert, expressed confidence in the combined company’s future opportunities for customers and employees.
